Therapists and counsellors
You want to serve autistic clients Exploring Autism is the initial session I devised to help therapists and counsellors help clients. Before the pandemic I offered this occasionally in London and Reading. I am currently developing and online version. It can be booked as a professional development session by organisations training and serving therapists and counsellors. The initial day can be followed up with Exploring Autism Further. Autistic people, friends and family
You want to understand autism Many people who get a diagnosis of autism are not really given much information about what this means in terms of their day-to-day lives. The Exploring Autism was originally devised for counsellors and therapists, however autistic adults and family members as well as people working in the voluntary sector have found it useful. For people who identify as autistic (or as having Asperger's syndrome) or are wondering if they might be autistic I will be offering Exploring Being Autistic online. This is a ten week course which offers a supportive venue to explore the traits of autism and how they affect everyday life with peers. I also offer consultations for autistic adults. These are one hour sessions via phone Zoom or Skype. |
Everybody
You want to be inclusive You will meet autistic people in your daily life and it will benefit both parties if you have some understanding of autism. Check out the courses page for dates of upcoming education sessions. If you are interested in learning more about autism and how it might affect you, your workplace or organisation contact me to discuss bespoke talks or training sessions. I also offer consultancy to assess the autism friendliness of workplaces or programmes. |
